1. Service Description

NextWord.app ("the Service") provides AI-generated Chinese reading materials personalized to your vocabulary level, along with vocabulary tracking, audio narration, and learning exercises.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. NextWord.app cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

3. Subscription Plans

We offer monthly, yearly, and lifetime subscription plans. All plans include:

  • Up to 15 AI-generated stories per day
  • Full vocabulary tracking
  • Audio narration for all stories
  • Comprehension exercises

3.1 Monthly and Yearly Subscriptions

Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods.

3.2 Lifetime Plan and Service Guarantee

The lifetime plan grants you access to NextWord.app for as long as the service operates. We are committed to operating this service for the long term.

24-Month Service Guarantee: If we discontinue the NextWord.app service within 24 months of your lifetime purchase date, you will be entitled to a pro-rata refund calculated as follows:

Refund = Purchase Price × (24 - Months Since Purchase) ÷ 24

Example: If you purchased the lifetime plan for $199.95 and the service is discontinued after 6 months, your refund would be: $199.95 × (24 - 6) ÷ 24 = $149.96

For purposes of this guarantee:

  • "Discontinue" means the complete shutdown of the NextWord.app service where users can no longer access their accounts or generate new stories.
  • Changes to features, pricing, or story generation limits do not constitute discontinuation.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 30 days of discontinuation announcement.
  • This guarantee applies only to lifetime plan purchases and does not apply to monthly or yearly subscriptions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute generated content for commercial purposes

5. Content and Intellectual Property

Stories generated by NextWord.app are created using AI technology. You may use generated stories for personal learning purposes. The underlying technology, design, and branding of NextWord.app remain our intellectual property.

Our dictionary data is sourced from CC-CEDICT and is used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be error-free, culturally appropriate in all contexts, or suitable for any particular purpose beyond personal language learning.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NextWord.app shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
